Shannon Moore is an American professional wrestler known to fans as The Outkast, Prince of Punk and The Reject. His three-decade career combines cruiserweight athleticism, tag-team wrestling and a style that refuses to blend in.
Raised in North Carolina, Shannon grew up alongside The Hardys—Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Their friendship began before the television cameras: backyard wrestling, early training and the independent scene helped shape their careers. Shannon competed in the Hardys’ OMEGA promotion before moving to the national stage, while also building a lasting connection with Shane Helms.
Beyond the ring, Moore’s creativity found another outlet in tattoo artistry and music. Those pursuits reflect the same independent spirit that runs through his wrestling career: a willingness to express himself openly and follow his own direction.
His impact also reaches into recovery, where he helps professional athletes and veterans facing substance use and mental health challenges rebuild their lives. Through peer support and shared experience, Moore encourages them to rediscover identity beyond a career or uniform, establish healthier routines, and find renewed purpose.
Today, “The Outkast” is a fitting expression of that journey. His career celebrates the courage to stand apart, while his personal message invites others to do the same: “Be who you are, not who the world expects you to be.”
